Two members of the Los Angles Sureños,(southerners as in southern California) the Mexican Mafia affiliated gang, Sureños, also have ties with Mexican cartels and MS-13, have transplanted themselves to the to the trenches of Syria , fighting alongside supporting forces of President Bashar Assad.
Sureños originated as a prison gangsupporting the Mexican Mafia in its conflict with Nuestra Familia, an organized criminal group in Northern California.
The gangs conduct the same types of criminal activity as Mexican cartels; drug trafficking, extortion, murder and racketeering.

A recent post on his page accuses US President Barack Obama of being a “moron punk” attempting to overthrow the Syrian regime.
“Evry time i chach one of the terrorist im lovin it, you dont even know,” reads his post, addressing Obama.
“[I]f you want i sent couple of vidios do you see how your ppl dying.”
The citizenship of the two men is not known, they are most likely both Armenian. According to Wino's FB page he intends to return to the US. For additional information link here.
