No official confirmation. But apx 3 hours ago credible Tamaulipas social media pages, began reporting a fierce shootout in the Conurbada zone of Tampico-Altamira.
The shootout initiated when federal forces surrounded the CDG Fresitas, and a shootout commenced, which was reported to have lasted more than four hours, and resulted in the death of J2 [upper left in photo] also refered to as Comandante Chive, and Fresa 1.
One of his sicarios was supposedly killed with him and the capture of Comandante 23 aka Fresa 1.

People on the ground have reported the city being surround by federal forces both on land and in the air.

Government confirms 5 killed: Upon arrival at the height of the ejido in the municipality of Altamira Tamiahua River, federal forces were attacked by armed civilians, so they had to repel the aggression.

Inside of a pick up truck Chevrolet Cheyenne 2011 model, blue color, with Tamaulipas plates, was located the lifeless body of an armed civilian, while the outside of the unit the bodies of three other assailants were located .
The lifeless body of the fifth attacker was located under a trailer that was stranded on the road, due to the blockade by the criminal group.
Federal forces seized a grenade launcher, two rifles and a shotgun, 16 magazines and cartridges of different calibers, two grenades caliber 40 mm and seven cell phones.
The blockade was lifted by federal authorities around 17:00 hours, while the Attorney General's Office performs research to determine the identity of the deceased.
