Fausto Vallejo Figueroa has confirmed his resignation from the Government of Michoacán, he says it is due to health issues. It was through his social media accounts, he announced his resignation. He says he has notified President Enrique Peña Nieto.
The official announcement will be later today.
Three days ago an article was posted on BB outlining Vallejo's controversial reign as governor and ties that he and his son may have to Caballeros Templarios. A photo surfaced this week, of his son attending a meeting with La Tuta, premier leader of the Templarios cartel. It was directly after the photo surfaced that Vallejo made the decision to leave the country 2 weeks earlier than scheduled.
The last paragraph in the June 15 post reads:
"As for El Gerber, son of the governor and his meetings with Tuta. One can imagine he will meet the same fate as the Lazaro group, and one can imagine his father would then be a former governor, retiring “on the advice of his physicians; to lead a quieter life”.
