Singer Javier Rosas was shot along with three others in Culiacan, Sinaloa, resulting in two people being killed and two injured.
The victims were travelling in a white Suburban in the parking lot of a department store when they came under gun fire.
Javier Arturo Rosas Almaral, 23, is originally from Culiacan, became famous for the ballad “En la sierra y la ciudad” (From the mountains to the city) better known as “La China”
One of victims was killed while still in the vehicle. The other three including Rosas ran towards the department store entrance doors when they were shot, one being killed at the scene, the two others, including Rosas, were injured from bullet impacts.
It is reported that one of the dead was identified as Adolfo Antonio Lizarraga of Hermosillo, Sonora and Carlos Almaral, cousin of the singer, who was dead in the van.
The shooting occurred on República de Brasil street. Rosas was transferred to a hospital, where Bandamax is reporting the singer as in critical condition and has undergone surgery.
Just three months ago in December, 2014 gunfire broke out at a Rosas concert while he was singing at a Durango night club. See below for a video of several clips from that December incident.
