Element of the Secretary of National Defence (Sedena), captured a tunnel under construction that was discovered this Tuesday in the general location of the International Airport Abelardo L. Rodriguez.
In the communication, Sedena informed that elements of the Mexican Army, with information obtained about the sale of drugs and the construction of the tunnel, found nine people who were working on the construction of the tunnel.
He reported that the tunnel is located in Callejon Constelacion, number 40 of the Colonia Aeropuerto, in the Otay Mesa delegation.
All of the workers were surprised to see the Military presence, they tried to flee but were arrested and a van which was used to transport the tunnel spoil was impounded.
He noted that the house is now under guard by the Army, awaiting the arrival of the Federal Prosecutor of Tijuana, Baja California to carry out an investigation.
