Tijuana: Two dead left in trunk of car
Another week, brings another series of executions and messages left for the ever decreasing survivors in the ongoing war for the Tijuana plaza's retail drug trade. The scent of the dead, decaying bodies in the Honda parked in La Mesa, behind the red cross, eventually revealed their location to citizens, and authorities. The two bodies were stuffed in the trunk, decomposing for days.
The message was left hastily scrawled on a piece of paper: “AHÍ ESTA SU GENTE, SIGAN MANDANDO BASURA, AQUÍ EL CIELO SIGUE SIENDO VERDE! EDGAR ALEJANDRO HERRERA ALIAS EL CAIMAN, JOSE JUAN PEREZ ALIAS EL PIOLIN, ARTURO GIOVANI HERRERA ALIAS EL GROS, ASI VAN A QUEDAR USTEDES, SALGAN A LA CALLE. FIERRO Y METAL”
"Here is your people...keep sending trash.. here is still Verde Heaven. Edgar Alejandro Herrera, alias 'El Caiman', Jose Juan Perez aka 'El Piolin', Arturo Giovanni Herrera 'El Gross' take it to the streets culos....'Fire & Metal
Arturo Herrera 'El Gross' is considered one of the main leaders of retail distribution cells in Sanchez Taboada, and is said to be engaged in a war against 'El Nino', of the Guero Sweaters cell, the leader captured last December in Culiacan, Sinaloa.
The grisly, but common place discovery ended a week of executions and violence in the city. August 4th saw 6 murdered in one day, included narco messages, wired wrapped around neck, and multiple gunshot wounds to the head, many in the Sanchez Taboada area. Tijuana saw at least 58 murders in July, averaging more then 1 a day.
It is unknown whether 'El Gross' is part of the Achilles/Rulas alliance against Zona Norte/Zona Rio distribution cells, still under the family of Luis Manuel Toscano, and 'El Chakal'. Last week, the mother of 'El Chakal' was murdered, hours before a narco message appeared giving him 24 hours to leave the plaza.
