Gonzalo Javier Rivera Camarena aka "El Tragedias" was executed this past Wednesday along Jesus Fidel Ramos Villela while they were eating at a Guiseppis restaurant in Plaza 2000 in Tijuana. Several .40 casings were found at the scene.
Rivera Camarena had been recently identified as the right-hand man of Rene Arzate Garcia aka "La Rana" or "El Mono Verde", "El Tragedias" led a criminal cell dedicated to execute rivals of the Arzate brothers ("Rana" and "Aquiles") and retail drugs sales. Several members of his cell have been either executed or arrested, among them are Lucre and Marco Antonio Cerda aka "Los Cuates de la Obrera"(Not to be confused with "Los Cuates" or "Los Igualitos" from Zona Norte), believed to be responsible of the execution of Luis Manuel Toscano aka "El Mono", former CAF enforcer in Zona Norte and of "El Kecho", brother of Melvin Gutierrez Quiroz, a Logan Heights cell leader for CAF.

Just days ago, Esteban Morales Martinez aka "El R6" was arrested by State Police agents in the La Cima neighborhood in possession of 60 grams of crystal meth and a 9mm handgun. "El R6" took over the group of "Los Cuates de la Obrera" after their arrest and was in charge of drug distribution among retailers in his area.
According to a ZETA report, it is believed "El Tragedias" was betrayed by someone close to him as the sicario who killed him was already awaiting for him inside Giuseppis.

The execution of "El Tragedias" is just one more of a series of executions which have been taking place in Tijuana in the past days, in fact, unnoficial reports claim that same night in the area of Torres del Lago, a brother of Luis Manuel Toscano was shot along 2 other men when they were drinking on the sidewalk, this reports claim he received a gunshot in the jaw and was taken to the hospital under heavy guard. There´s already a suspect arrested for this attack.
There have been many executions and basically all of them have been related to the war for the retail market. There are reports and rumours of "El Guero Chompas" being back in Tijuana and aligning himself with some members of CAF, others claim people from Jose Soto aka "El Tigre" are also aligning themselves with CAF, I gotta say I find this hard to believe since those are cells related more to Chapo´s than Mayo´s in Sinaloa, but stranger things have happened in Tijuana before.
There´s also a bloody war going on right now between the groups of "El Griego" and "El Gross". "El Griego" whose name is believed to be Victor Hugo Mejia Lopez is under orders of Alfonso Arzate aka "El Akiles", it was previously reported that family members of "El Griego" were kidnapped and executed last month, making Him return to the city seeking vengeance against those responsible. "El Gross" is Arturo Giovanni Gomez Herrera, a hitman and cell leader from the Sanchez Taboada district, he began as a cell leader under orders of Rene Arzate aka "La Rana" in charge of taking Sanchez Taboada from "El Guero Chompas" and his groupd but is believed to have betrayed "Los Aquiles" when He began working with alleged members of CJNG in alliance with some CAF cells.
This past May, the nude corpse of a woman was left in the middle of the street with a message held by an icepick, the women was allegedly related to the group of "El Gross" and the message read:
"HAY-TA TU GENTE MUGROSA CROSS Y PIOLIN PA QUE LA PIENSEN EN VOLTEARSE SEAN HOMBRES O MUJERES SE LOS VA A CARGAR LA VERGA A TODOS LOS DE LA SANCHEZ"

"There´s your dirty people Cross(Gross) and Piolin, so you better think about it before jumping ship, be it man or women, all those from La Sanchez will be fucked"

The war between "El Griego" and "El Gross" has taken a high toll as there hasn´t been a single week in months without executions taking place in the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood. Victims of this war sadly include children who have been caught in the crossfire.
Right now it is hard to say who is fighting who as alliances change real quickly, it is obvious the group of "El Aquiles" is receiving direct blows but its hard to say from whom. Anyway something is for sure, this is far from over and the blood spill is just getting worse and worse as the war for retail control continues.
