In its latest theater production, the Mexican government conducted several raids in the past week to seize properties of Sinaloa and Zetas cartels.
Los Zetas
In Coahuila, the backbone state of Los Zetas, the PGR agency of Mexico seized Zetas property in 9 locations of Monclova.
Zetas fascination of quarter horses was well represented in the raids as agents confiscated 9 race horses. Other property seized; a dozen tracks, and a bulldozer.
Sinaloa
After six days of raids in the Sinaloan capital, the Secretary of the Marina - Navy of Mexico reported that they located and seized arms and luxury vehicles connected to the Sinaloa Cartel at three locations. (above video)
A statement to La Pared says that Semar mounted an operation on August 21 in the streets of colonia Lomas de Guadalupe, in the municipality of Culiacan, with Marina agents providing a security perimeter, with SEIDO conducting searches. The Marina said they were attacked by a white vehicle, which was moving at high speed and twice attempted to ram the agents who providing security.
"It is noteworthy that the people driving the attacking vehicle ignored the warning signs put up by the Navy personnel."
The driver was killed and his passenger injured.
