A white late model GMC Sierra, with Texas plates, left the U.S. border, crossed the international bridge, and began entry into Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico’s point of entry, when the vehicle was stopped by Mexican custom agents.
During inspection of the vehicle, weapons were discovered, at that time the drive was placed under arrest, the vehicle weapons, and car keys confiscated. The cache contained AR 15s and rocket launchers among other weapons.
At this point, a convoy of 30 new and late model vehicles, pulled up to the bridge and rescued both the weapons and the would be gun runner. The GMC was left behind.
In this video autodefensa spokesman Jorge Vasquez Valencia, speaks about the incident, and the questions rose of corruption on both sides of the border.
A call for help was not issued. In the video Jorge speaks in a border sense of the corruption, he says narcos did not corrupt the government, the government created cartels. “The Mexican government infiltrated drug traffickers and created cartels”
“Mexican government and cartels are the same.”
