The bodies of three youths with tied hands were found in a Yautepec river in a place known as El Rocío.  According to preliminary versions, it consists of three youths from Atlihuayán who have been missing since last Saturday and whose family had organized a demonstration this past Wednesday.

Even though some officials have warned that the youths drowned, no one has explained the ropes that were tied to their hands and presumably to the waist on the bodies.

According to the authorities, the bodies showed signs of having been in the river for 72 hours or more.  According to the images, the bodies had tied hands and their waists were tied to rocks in order to prevent them from coming to the surface, as well as exhibiting swelling.

The disappeared were Javier Mencia Molina, 22; Mauro Sánchez Mencia, 21; and Jorge Amaro Mendoza, 23, residents of the neighborhood Emiliano Zapata, in the town of Atlihuayán, located in the municipality of Yautepec, from where they left last Saturday to go fishing in the place known as Barranca Honda and never returned home.

The day before, Telésforo Mencia Reynoso, father of one of the youths, said that, during a round carried out along the roads and trails in the area, the manager of a bar called El Jaripeo, told him that the youths had been picked up by armed men, and that they had given him the backpack of one of the youths.

The last time they were seen was on Saturday around 17:30, when they passed in front of that bar.

“There’s a lot of crime in Yautepec, they went fishing in the town of Ticumán, but it turns out they never returned.  They left at 1:30 from Yautepec, heading towards Ticumán, but they never returned,” he said.

“The last clue we have is from El Jaripeo, where the owner gave my son’s (Javier Mencia Molina) backpack; it’s the last clue we have.  But from there, they want to lie to us, that’s his word, that he saw them take a route to Yautepec.  But that is a lie, that’s where the problem is, that’s the last clue and that’s where we want them to look,” he said.

Woman Found Beheaded

On Thursday night, the dismembered and beheaded body of a woman was found by residents of San Antón, located just five minutes from the historic center of Cuernavaca.  The remains were found in an orange trashcan, inside a black plastic bag.  The residents were preparing to participate in the religious celebrations of Holy Week when they discovered the body a few meters from the entrance of the parish of San Antón.

The authorities showed up to remove the body and to take evidence that could point to the identification and possible motive for the murder.  The head was not located.  However, when the authorities transported the body, and were preparing to carry out the autopsy, they found that it was a woman, but have not identified the body or age.

So far this year, two women have been killed with the same brutality.  Two week ago, the body of a woman was discovered in an irrigation canal in the town of Atlacholoaya, in the municipality of Xochitepec, located in the south of the state.  The body was completely naked, just as the body found Thursday in San Antón.  Furthermore, the body had severed a severed head and hands.
