The following story is from Televisa.  Although they cite “confirmed by authorities” it has not been officially confirmed on any government website, as of this hour.  Nor has Televisa named who specifically confirmed this story.   It has always been the opinion of this BB reporter that Ivan was kidnapped along with his brother Alfredillo.  The government disputes, or at least has not confirm this.  Nor have they confirmed their release.  Bear in mind the government have no reason to avoid confirmation, as the brothers are wanted in the U.S. but not in Mexico for criminality.

This Televisa story is attributing the kidnapping to Alfredito Beltran Leyva, bear in mind Televisa also has a story of leader of CJNG being responsible.  In my opinion that makes more sense.  But since the government is being closed mouth about this event, giving zero information since last week, it is impossible to determine what is happening.

If anything, the theory that there is an alliance between Alfredito and Mencho leading to a joint clash against Sinaloa is a possibility. Mencho has made some smart strategic alliances, and joining with those familiar with and having access to Sinaloa territory sounds pragmatic, although there, to this point has not demonstrated this to be fact.

It has long been rumored that Mencho has high placed government officials on his payroll, which is the reason he has gained so much territory in such a short amount of time.  Michoacán is a good example.  Without the government intervention, the autodefensa movement would likely have continued their success.  The government assured La Tuta and Caballeros Templarios was crushed, making way for Mencho to gain the majority of territory in Michoacán.

“Authorities” confirm that three sons of 'El Chapo' were kidnapped in Puerto Vallarta; and that Alfredito, son of Alfredo Beltran Leyva, could have led the kidnapping

The night when an armed commando entered the restaurant 'La Leche' of Puerto Vallarta where the  group dined, there were not two but three sons of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman and the three were kidnapped together with three other companions.

Exclusively for the program 'Despierta con Loret'. authorities confirmed that Cesar Guzman is a third son of 'El Chapo' who was kidnapped on Sunday August 14 and, like his two brothers, Jesus Alfredo and Ivan Archivaldo, he was released almost a week later, after payment of a ransom.

Authorities also reported that gain of power the motive behind the kidnapping, led by  was Alfredo Beltran Salazar 'The Mochomito' son of Alfredo Beltran Leyva, 'Mocha', who is imprisoned in the United States.

Beltran Leyva was part of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The dispute for control of the Pacific Cartel business is the new episode in that battle.

Intelligence officials try to corroborate the evidence that 'The Mochomito' has been part in this operation against the sons of 'El Chapo' with the help of Jalisco Cartel Generation Cartel.
