The Procuraduria General de la Republica (PGR),  confirmed that the drug lord Panfilo Flores Apocada, known as "El Charmin", member of the criminal organization Los Mazatlecos, was extradited to the United States. Authorities also extradited Jose Vazquez Villagrana, alias el "El Jabali", a former collaborator of the Sinaloa Cartel.

"El Charmin" is  nephew of Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias "El Chapo Isidro" lider of Los Mazatlecos. Flores Apodaca is required by the Federal court of the District of Columbia, for his responsibility in crimes associated with criminal activities against human health, and for possession of firearms.

In Mexico, the PGR claimed that "El Charmin" was in charge of fields used for the cultivation of narcotics and in charge of the distribution of narcotics, for which he was apprehended in the Centro de Ejecuciones de las Consecuencias Juridicas del Delito (CECJUDE), in los Mochis.

"El Charmin" was detained by Mexican Marines in the municipal town of Guasave, with the communications operator of his organization, Jesus Octavio Barroso. Both were arrested with half a kilogram of meth, a kilo cocaine, a firearm and magazines.

On the other side, "El Jabali" was in charge of the entrance and exit of Marihuana into Arizona. He was involved in the assesination of 12 agents of the Policia Estatal Preventiva of the state of Sinaloa in July of 2011.
"El Jabali" served in the US Army before operating for "El Chapo"

He was also accused of the murder of two members for the Mexican Army in January of 2012 in Guasave. "El Jabali" is required by the Federal court of the District of Florida, for criminal association and crimes against human health.

Once the procedures for extradition were complete, the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE), turned over the criminals. The execution of the extradition was clear and firm after the accused ran out of legal resources to prevent their extradition.

On October 6 of 2016 they were turned over to US Marshals and FBI agents at the International Airport of Toluca, in the State of Mexico.
