Seven people were killed and one left injured yesterday afternoon in Chihuahua city. The massacre transpired at the Motel “Alfer” located on a highway leading to Ciudad Juarez, this confirmed by the attorney general’s office of Chihuahua.
The 7 killed were all males, including a 16 year old.
The names of those killed; Jaime Galaviz Rivas, Leopoldo Santillán Galaviz, Ivonne Iravin, Ambrosio Victoriano Rodelo, Francisco Javier Pérez Nuevo (16 years), Manuel Humberto León Rivera and Hugo Estrada Espinoza.
The victims and the suspected assassins both belong to rival drug gangs who sell drugs in the capital.The spokesman for the attorney general’s office said that there are three gangs selling meth in the city, which has increased consumption of the drug, even more than in Juarez, and people who met at the motel were part of those gangs. In fact the 16 year old victim was using meth when the shooting began.
Witnesses state that the assassins fled aboard a Ram pickup which was later found abandoned.
The assassins who busted into a motel, used the Dodge Ram truck that was stolen two months ago of the parking of Soriana, police said.
