Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca ordered the death of Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez
Mexico City • The leader of Los Zetas , Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca , ordered the death of Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez, son of Humberto Moreira, former governor of Coahuila, and not Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, el Z-40 as many previously assumed.

Officials close to the case revealed that (this info.) follows from the phone messages that the absolute leader of Los Zetas sent to his friend Salvador Alfonso Martinez Escobedo, La Ardilla, on October 3, when the crime was committed.



The transcripts of these discussions are held by the federal government, stated consulted officials.

In the material, it established that Heriberto Lazcano, El Lasca, reported the same day that Alexander Treviño Chavez, nephew of the Z-40, had been killed by state police, along with four members of the criminal organization.

According to the consulted officials, the expert showed that Moreira's son was killed aboard the truck, while police said they found the body was in a dirt road.

It was found that it was not so and that they cleaned the vehicle by order from leaders of Los Zetas , officials said.

The Army presented yesterday Carlos Arnulfo Flores Flores, El Flaco or El Fantasm , alleged head of Los Zetas plaza in Acuña and perpetrator of the murder of Jose Eduardo Moreira. The subject was arrested after a confrontation in Monclova, Coahuila.

However, officials assured that the crime was ordered by cartel leader Miguel Angel Trevino, The Z-40, in retaliation for the death of his nephew.

Officials said that after the murder of Moreira, the members criminal cell left the city and took refuge in different parts of Coahuila.

The Department of Defense  (Sedena) confirmed that former Acuña deputy police supervisor RodolfoCastillo Montes, Victor Landeros Sifuentes, police supervisor were complicit for luring Jose Eduardo.

Then they handed him over to El Flaco, to El Shaggy and another man nicknamed El Pelon who took him away and killed him.

According to the Department of Defense (Sedena), El Z-40 ordered the execution of  the son of former Coahuila governor after the death of his nephew and the four Zetas who clashed with state security forces.

"By supporting the activities of  the authorities of Public Security  carried out by the Army and Air Force in Coahuila, it was learned that most of the members of Los Zetas cell in Acuña left the plaza and took refuge in various places, including the city of Monclova, where  Flores Flores was located. "

El Flaco was slightly injured and was made available to the SEIDO. In addition to El Flaco, César Zapata Riojas, El Nejo; José Gumaro Esquivel Flores, Gumaro, y Carlos Emanuel Espinoza Sifuentes, El Gordo, were arrested.

Chronological Timeline
Jose Eduardo Moreira was killed on 3 October. A command Acuña deceitfully lured him and handed him to Los  Zetas belonged to Carlos Arnulfo Flores.

Salvador Martinez Escobedo or Carlos Garcia, La Ardilla, alleged regional head of Los Zetas in Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila, was arrested by Marines on October 6.

One day later, on Sunday October 7, the Marines shot down the absolute leader of the cartel, Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca, in Progreso, Coahuila.
