Elements of the State Attorney General's Office captured five members of a cell of the New Generation Cartel in the El Carmen neighborhood of Guadalajara. They are linked to 33 homicides spanning from August to date in southern Guadalajara, on the border with Tlaquepaque.

The Attorney General of the State, Eduardo Almaguer Ramírez, reported that the operation in which said subjects were arrested was carried out in a farm located at the intersection of Juan Sarabia and José María Sánchez streets, where the elements of the Prosecutor's Office found three corpses wrapped in black plastic bags inside a room.

“The criminal group’s safe house was located at this spot and at the time of being arrested in 'flagrante delicto' they had three people as victims, which they had there, already prepared to be thrown on the street," said Almaguer Ramírez.

The arrested are: Tomás N, Bryan Yael N, Luis Humberto N, Edgar Asunción N, and Daniel N, who are linked in 10 investigations with 33 homicides, including the three bodies located in the house where they were captured.

The prosecutor detailed that the cell leader Tomas N had been identified from last October 15, the date in which he participated in the murder of three people inside a house that he set on fire in the Cinco de Mayo neighborhood of Guadalajara.
