Its exactly a year until the end of the administration of President Enrique Pena Nieto, his Government has captured 108 of the 122 priority objectives, alleged criminals that were on the list and considered highly dangerous and the principal generators of violence in the country, among them Ismael Zambada Garcia, alias El Mayo.

Today they form part of the structure of six narco trafficking cartels, two bands of kidnappers, one chief of person traffickers, and whom the Government have offered rewards that go between 10 to 30 million pesos for information leading to their location or capture.

Between the alleged criminals most sought after that have been detained or taken down during the present administration are: Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, alias El Chapo, ex leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, and Vincente Carrillo Fuentes, alias El Viceroy, ex leader of the Juarez Cartel.

Others detained or taken down are: Luis Fernando Sanchez Arellano, alias El Ingeniero, ex leader of the Tijuana Cartel, as well as Hector Beltran Leyva, El H, of the Beltran Leyva Organization; Miguel Trevino Morales, El Z-40, of Los Zetas; and Nazario Moreno Gonzalez, El Chayo, of the Knight Templars.

Also Gonzalo Inzunza Inzunza, alias El Macho Prieto, of the Sinaloa Cartel; Pablo Jaime Castrejon, La Marrana" of La Familia Michoacan; and Dioniso Loya Plancarte, El Tio of the Knights Templar.

Also Mario Armando Ramirez Trevino, El X-20, of the Cartel del Golfo, the Sinoalense Juan Jose Esparragoza Monzon, El Negro; and Francisco Javier Hernandez Garcia, El Panchito, member of the Beltran Leyva Organization, who arranged an alliance with Los Zetas to confront other criminal organizations.

Also the detention of Damaso Lopez Nunez, alias El Licenciado, and Damaso Lopez Serrano, El Mini Lic, father and son that disputed control of the Sinaloa Cartel with the sons of El Chapo, the brothers Guzman Salazar; Jesus Alfredo and Ivan Archivaldo.

Of the recent capture of Samuel Lizarraga Ontiveros, alias El Tortillero, alleged leader of Los Mazatlecos, among other capos, but not El Mayo Zambada.

Those they have failed to detain

The arrests during the administration of Pena Nieto have been greater than the 25 of the 37 proposed by the previous government, that of Felipe de Jesus Calderon Hinojosa, who were apprehended by the Federal or Armed Forces.

However, the arrest of the other capos, assassins or financial operators of the cartels is still lacking. Among them, from the Sinaloa Cartel, Ismael El Mayo Zambada, alias El Mayo, or that of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion.

Or that of Juan Jose Esparragoza Moreno, El Azul, who although it is speculated that he died in a traffic accident, is still being sought by the Federal Government, and that of Rafael Caro Quintero, founder of the Guadalajara Cartel, who is now considered a leader of the Sinaloa Cartel by the DEA.

Or the arrest of Jose Antonio Cueto Lopez, former public functionary, who witnesses of the so called "Operation Cleanliness" identify as the key man in the case of bribes to the PGR by the Beltran Leyva Organization.

Also missing is the arrest of Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias El Chapo Isidro, another alleged leader of Los Mazatlecos, a criminal cell formed out of the split of the Beltran Leyva Organization with the Sinaloa Cartel.

Or the arrest of Juan Pablo Ledezma, alias El JL, who after the arrest of El Viceroy, assumed control of the Juarez Cartel. Or that of Juan Pablo Guijarro Fragosa, El Monico, the main leader of the border Cartel cell La Linea, in charge of the Chihuahua plaza.

Or the arrest of Homero Cardenas Guillen, alias El Orejon, alleged leader of the Gulf Cartel, who it was speculated that he was betrayed and executed in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, although his death has not yet been confirmed.

Maxiley Barahona Nadales, alias El Contador, from Los Zetas, in charge of the Veracruz plaza, and allegedly responsible for massacres, murders, kidnappings and grenade attacks on Police corporations.
