Two Narco Mantas (banners) were hung in Tijuana from a pedestrian bridge in front of the Las Carpas Pulgas (swap meet). The messages were signed by “CTNG and CJNG”.
The message,"mas o menos":
They are angry/bothered that kidnappings and extortion still being allowed, which were supposed to stop. The cleansing will begin against the people of ‘Tomate’ (Sinaloa) and (their) allies, not against the town (people) or the government
And it is signed Cartel Tijuana New Generation and Cartel Jalisco New Generation.
A supposition is that the remnants of CAF have joined with CJNG and have taken on a new name (CTNG).
CJNG had not been operating in BC since 2013, when Manuel "El Gordo" Garibay, was found tortured and murdered.
It was Garibay who had allowed the Jalisco Cartel to traffic drugs using the Baja California routes into the United States.
This led to a conflict between Garibay and Sinaloa Cartel, and a fracture between CJNG and Sinaloa.
Note: A couple of BB readers mentioned the message reference could be about; Jesus Israel de la Cruz López, (El Tomate) who was arrested by the Mexican Army on January 4, 2011, he was identified as the leader of the Sinaloa cartel in Tijuana. He was released on bail, rearrested, and since then apparently he was released.
