Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. According to State sources, 15 people died in a confrontation, between elements of Attorney General of the State (FGE) of Jalisco (occident de Mexico) with a cell of presumed criminals.
The first reports indicate that a group of armed civilians confronted a group of Agents of Jalisco Regional Forces, in the surroundings of San Luis Soyatan, in the town of San Sebastian del Oeste, in the Serrana zone.
The confrontation was preceded by the ambushing of Police officers by presumed criminals believed to be CJNG, who blocked the road to Las Palmas with burning cars, then opened fire on the State Gendarmeria.

This happened during a high influx of tourists was recorded in San Sebastian del Oeste, who were unable to start back to their destinations on the recommendation by members of Security Forces, as they could not guarantee the safety of the tourists on their journey.
Hours later the Attorney General confirmed that 15 people had died, at this time its not clear how many agents and or criminals are among the dead. The area was immediately reinforced with more agents of the immediate reaction force, in collaboration with elements of the Army and National Gendarmeria.

They attacked agents on the highway Mascota - Las Palmas, where two burning vehicles formed a blockade. The State Prosecutor linked the assaults with the attack on the State Safety Commissioner.
No less than 16 Police were killed during two confrontations between presumed criminals and Agents of Jalisco, informed functionaries of the State Prosecutor General and the Army.
According to the public servants, among the victims are Basilo Aguirre, head of the single Force, and Miguel Angel Caicedo Vargas, Head of the Corporation of the Municipality of Zacoalco de Torres.
The first battle occurred around 14:50 pm on the Mascota - Las Palmas highway, in the village of Soyatan, in the town of San Sebastian del Oeste, where an armed group attacked agents who were travelling in convoy from the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara, in this confrontation there were 15 deaths.
The consulting functionaries, said at the scene of the attack they found spent cartridges of different calibres and shrapnel from fragmentation grenades.
At the same time, other members of the group made several blockades with burning vehicles on the same highway.
According to the functionaries, minutes after occurred and confrontation in the town of Zacoalco de Torres, during which the Municipal Chief Caicedo Vargas was killed.
