11 heads and 10 bodies, were discovered on Tuesday in six clandestine graves. The remains were found in a village that is a part of the municipality of Chilapa. Chilapa is in the central region of the State of Guerrero, in southern Mexico.
11 heads and 10 bodies, were discovered on Tuesday in six clandestine graves. The remains were found in a village that is a part of the municipality of Chilapa. Chilapa is in the central region of the State of Guerrero, in southern Mexico.
According to information from representatives of the Office of the Attorney-General, the graves were located in the village of Tepehuixco of Chilapa de Alvarez. [see red star on map]
The area is being guarded by federal troops, State police, as the Attorney General and the Mexican army experts conduct investigations.
According to the State Government, on 08:30 (local time) on Tuesday, the staff of the Prosecutor's Office moved to the area known as El Huizache, in the community of Tepehuixco, where six graves were located.
The bodies in 5 of the graves were intact, showing signs of torture, some with gunshot wounds, others showing blunt force trauma wounds about the head. The corpses were estimated to be about 1 week old.

The 6th grave held 11 severed heads. The heads appeared to be of a much greater decomposition and may belong to the 11 headless bodies discovered on November 27th.
